Our last big excursion on ice with the pups. A beautiful day in the Coulee hills in the village of Lyon. Even Huskies can sit and enjoy the view (although, not for along).
Shadows in snow
Spring has supposedly arrived, yet the buds of green are slow to emerge. Wisconsin's spring is brown, and those of us who crave color must learn the powerful lesson of patience. If only I were a Buddhist Munk, and could relish the stillness of the moment. But holding still is so difficult.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I find nature to be the source of all beauty, and strive to reflect that in color and black and white photographs. While my career is the study of science (and the interactions between biota and land), my passion is photography and written word. Perhaps I can combine the two. May art reflect life.
